Over the years there have been a lot of changes in Bruntsfield – people and businesses have come and gone.

One constant for the past 117 years has been the plumbers office near the corner of Merchiston Place.

Opened in 1903 by William Fife Wightman the company earned a reputation for quality workmanship, building a large customer base in the Bruntsfield, Morningside, Merchiston and Tollcross areas, as well as the wider city of Edinburgh, and the Port of Leith.
